SG 553 | Night Camo (Factory New)

SG 553 | Night Camo in Factory New (FN): gray-blue camouflage with no trace of wear. The float for this wear lies between 0.00 and 0.07, which is 9% of the skin's scale, and the scale goes up to 0.80. By rank it is Consumer Grade, by origin it belongs to The Ascent Collection, and the skin has no case.

What the SG 553 | Night Camo looks like in Factory New

The rifle is painted in a cold camouflage: patches of varying darkness over a light gray-blue ground, spread across the handguard, the receiver and the magazine. The barrel, the flash hider and the scope stay dark, so the camouflage reads as a separate field on a black silhouette.

Valve presents the SG 553 as a scoped alternative to the AK-47 for long-range fighting, and only the terrorist side can use it. The range of 0.00 to 0.07 is so narrow on the SG 553 | Night Camo that there is no point in choosing by float.

Where the SG 553 | Night Camo came from

Valve is the author of the skin: no Steam Workshop submission is recorded for it. The Ascent Collection was released on March 31, 2025, and the SG 553 | Night Camo has been part of the set since launch. Valve's skin catalog lists it as number 1270.

What to check before buying

Before paying, it is worth checking the SG 553 | Night Camo for:

• the float: within 0.00 to 0.07 the copies barely differ from one another;

• the name tag and stickers this SG 553 | Night Camo already carries.

What the SG 553 | Night Camo costs in Factory New

This case runs against the usual order: Factory New costs no more than the lower wears. Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred stand level with it, within three percent. Field-Tested is the most expensive, at about 1.4 times as much.

Among Consumer Grade SG 553 skins in Factory New, this one is level with SG 553 | Army Sheen and a little above SG 553 | Safari Print. SG 553 | Bleached and SG 553 | Waves Perforated cost two and a half to three times as much, and one more skin about eight and a half times.

Getting the SG 553 | Night Camo

No case contains this skin. The Ascent Collection is part of Valve's weekly reward, and the skin is issued from there.

A trade-up will not produce it: Consumer Grade is the lowest rank in the collection, and a contract returns a rank above what goes in. As an input the skin does work. Ten such Ascent skins give one Industrial Grade skin, for example Nova | Turquoise Pour. The wear of the result is calculated from the wear of the inputs.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No StatTrak version of the SG 553 | Night Camo was released. Souvenir copies turn up, but there were no packages for this skin, because those were made only for tournament map collections. A copy is built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which adds golden tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin from the inventory.

Stickers and craft on the SG 553 | Night Camo

On the calm cold ground, warm stickers stand out most: red, orange, yellow. White gives contrast on the dark patches, while blue and light blue get lost. The clean wear makes a tidier base for a build. The skin itself costs about the same as the lower wears, so the stickers will cost more than the rifle.
