The Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic in Factory New (FN) is a single-color sandy pistol with no artwork. The condition of the paint is the only thing that tells one listing from another. The rank is Consumer Grade, the collection is The Boreal Collection, and in CS2 the pistol is a terrorist-side weapon.
What the Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic looks like in Factory New
The finish is built on one color, just as Valve's description says: "solid tan", a solid beige-brown. The upper part with the round slots is light and sandy, and the magazine is paler still, almost cream. The frame and grip are darker and shade into gray-brown. There are no inscriptions, spots or artwork.
Factory New allows floats of 0.00 up to 0.07. For smooth paint, such a stretch means a clean surface with no chips along the edges: on the light sandy field any scuff would show at once. Wear is set when the skin drops.
Where the Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic came from
The skin entered the game on March 31, 2025, with the "Spring Forward" update. In the note Valve says that Ascent, Boreal and Radiant were added to the weekly sets list and together give more than seventy finishes. The Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic is a Consumer Grade skin of The Boreal Collection, and Valve's caption for it is "Restore by force".
What to check before buying
Two things set one Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic listing apart from another:
- the float: the 0.00 to 0.07 band takes 0.07 of 0.75, less than a tenth of the skin's scale;
- the name tag and stickers this Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic already carries.
The artwork is the same on every copy. The stretch from 0.00 to 0.07 is short, so the difference between listings falls within the margin of error.
What the Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic costs in Factory New
On this skin, Factory New is not the premium wear. The three lower wears cost the same, with a difference under three percent: Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Only Minimal Wear stands out, at about 1.8 times as much.
Among Consumer Grade Tec-9 skins in this wear, only Tec-9 | Blue Blast is cheaper than the Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic. Tec-9 | Army Mesh follows, while Tec-9 | Groundwater and Tec-9 | Urban DDPAT cost more than seven times as much.
Getting the Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic
No CS2 case contains the Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic. Copies come from the weekly reward, as Valve keeps The Boreal Collection on its list.
A contract cannot produce this skin: Consumer Grade is the collection's bottom rank, with nothing below it. The skin itself does go in as an input. Ten Consumer Grade skins from The Boreal Collection give one of nine Industrial Grade finishes, among them P2000 | Marsh.
StatTrak and Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic was ever released. No Souvenir packages were made for this finish either, because packages only covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin.
Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic
The sandy background with no artwork gives stickers freedom: there is nothing to cover, and any color reads on it by itself. Dark and saturated stickers contrast well, while light and beige ones get lost against such a background.
Who this wear suits
The Tec-9 | Raw Ceramic in this wear makes sense when:
- you want even paint without a single mark;
- a set of dark or bright stickers is planned for the pistol;
- price matters, since next to the three lower wears there is no surcharge for clean paint.
