Two cases give it out: Operation Riptide and Dreams & Nightmares. The finish exists in all five wears, and its float scale runs from 0.00 to 0.48.

What the ★ Falchion Knife | Freehand looks like in Field-Tested

Valve describes the finish this way: the knife is painted black and purple, then decorated on top with metallic marker. The blade is purple, and silver-white painting runs across the whole flat in a typeface of angular marks. The same pattern lies on the handle scales. The side plate is dark and metallic, with screws.

This wear of the ★ Falchion Knife | Freehand is the 0.15 to 0.38 band, and listings from the two edges of that segment look different. It covers almost half of the finish's scale. The paint on the tip of the blade and on the protruding ribs of the handle is already touched, and the marks read right there.

Where the ★ Falchion Knife | Freehand came from

The model itself appeared on May 26, 2015. In the note on Operation Bloodhound, Valve called the falchion a new knife of the family, available only in the Falchion Case. The Freehand finish came to it much later. Its first case was the Operation Riptide Case, and the second, from January 21, 2022, is Dreams & Nightmares.
