The ★ Falchion Knife without a skin is the plain Falchion in CS2: a folding knife with a curved blade and no skin on it. The listing description marks it as unpainted. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. It has no wear tier, float or pattern, and all copies are the same.
What the ★ Falchion Knife looks like
The blade is curved like a saber: a broad belly sweeps smoothly into the point. The steel is light with a mirror shine, and factory grinding is visible across the blade.
The handle folds. It has black scales with a carbon-like texture, and a steel cheek with a screw sits at the base of the blade. The grip has a notch for the thumb, and the end is hooked. The metal is the only source of color on this knife, and black belongs to the handle.
How the plain ★ Falchion Knife differs from a skinned one
With a skinned Falchion Knife, buyers look at wear, float and sometimes phase. An unpainted listing raises none of those questions:
- there is no wear tier, and so no float band either;
- there is no pattern: the blade is equally light on every copy;
- a name tag can be applied, and the name stays through resale;
- knives never have stickers.
Listings differ from one another only by version: normal or StatTrak™.
What the ★ Falchion Knife costs
In the Falchion Knife range by starting price, the unpainted knife stands nearer the lower half: fifteen skins cost less, eighteen more. Closest below is Falchion Knife | Autotronic (a few percent cheaper), followed by Falchion Knife | Damascus Steel and Falchion Knife | Lore (both a seventh cheaper).
Above it come Falchion Knife | Crimson Web (a seventh more), Falchion Knife | Blue Steel (a sixth) and Falchion Knife | Case Hardened (a quarter and a bit). At the top, Falchion Knife | Doppler Sapphire costs more than five times as much as the unpainted knife. Falchion Knife | Gamma Doppler Emerald costs nearly six times as much, and Falchion Knife | Doppler Ruby more than eight.
Is there a StatTrak version
Yes: the StatTrak™ Falchion Knife is a separate item, and its counter never resets. The counter version costs one and a half times as much as the normal one, or a little more.
Getting the ★ Falchion Knife
The Falchion Knife drops as a rare special item from the Falchion Case, which remains the model's only case. Whether you get a skin or bare steel is down to chance, because the unpainted knife lies in the same rare special item pool.
A trade-up contract can also yield a Falchion: five Covert skins turn into a random rare special item, and the model is not chosen. A finished unpainted Falchion Knife can be bought on LIS-SKINS as a separate listing.
Who it suits
The ★ Falchion Knife without a skin suits you if:
- you want a Falchion Knife with a black handle and no colored inserts;
- you want a listing without float, pattern or phases;
- you do not want to pay for Doppler or Gamma Doppler on this model.
