★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet (Field-Tested)

The ★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet in Field-Tested (FT) is a CS2 gut knife with a dark blade and a purple handle. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. It sits in three Chroma cases: the Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case. The finish has five wears and a float scale that stretches from 0.06 to 0.80. Floats from 0.15 to 0.38 fall into this wear.

What the ★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet looks like in Field-Tested

The blade is wide, with the tip curving forward, and a gutting hook sticks out of the spine: Valve calls it the main feature of the model. The steel is graphite gray with a cool cast. The handle scales are glossy purple with dark rivets, and there is a lanyard loop at the butt. Valve states a black and purple palette, with separate parts painted in a solid fill.

In Field-Tested the marks of wear are already there, and they show on the tip and on the hook. Wear is locked in at the drop. For the ★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet the float number matters more than the label, because the band from 0.15 to 0.38 holds different looks.

Where the ★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet came from

Ultraviolet is found in three Chroma cases. The first of them, the Chroma Case, came out in January 2015.

What to check before buying

On a ★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet listing, check these parameters:

• float: within 0.15 to 0.38, listings differ in the number of marks on the tip and the hook;

• the applied name: a name tag is allowed on this knife and stays on the item after purchase;

• version: a StatTrak knife is a separate catalog entry.

The artwork on the ★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet is applied identically across the whole run.

What the ★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet costs in Field-Tested

Factory New is clearly dearer. Minimal Wear (MW) costs more than a third extra, Well-Worn a quarter extra, and Battle-Scarred is a tenth cheaper.

Of the 18 Covert gut knife finishes in Field-Tested, Ultraviolet sits a little above the middle: ten are cheaper and seven are dearer. Stained is four percent higher. Freehand, Black Laminate and Damascus Steel are one or two percent lower, and Bright Water is ten lower. Autotronic, Case Hardened and Slaughter hold the top of the row, and Safari Mesh, Forest DDPAT and Boreal Forest the bottom.

Getting the ★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet

The Gut Knife | Ultraviolet drops from the Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case, and the wear on opening is random. A contract is the second route: five Covert skins from one collection give one rare special item, but neither the model nor the finish can be chosen. The knife you need can only be bought as a ready listing.

Is there a StatTrak version

A StatTrak version of the ★ Gut Knife | Ultraviolet exists in the game.

Who this wear suits
