Valve says the blade is blued by a "cold" process, and the color bears that out. The upper face is dark blue, nearly black, while the lower bevel is lighter and bluer. The blade is broad and curves forward, with notches and a round hole cut near its base. The grip is dark olive-gray, ridged, with a rounded butt cap.

Wear settles first on the point and the pale bevel. On this knife the band from 0.15 to 0.38 is a long one, and the copies at its two ends look clearly different.

Valve introduced the kukri model on February 6, 2024, together with the Kilowatt Case, as a rare special item. The Gallery Case followed later, on October 2, 2024.
