The ★ Kukri Knife is the kukri in CS2 without a skin: the blade stays as the game hands it out, and the listing marks it as unpainted. The knife has Covert rank, with the ★ mark, and it has no wear, float or pattern, so any two copies are identical.
What the ★ Kukri Knife looks like
The blade is wide and leaf-shaped, with a pronounced curve: the spine runs in an arc and the point faces down. The steel is dark, nearly black, in two tones. A deep, darker fuller runs down the center, and a narrow light edge runs along the cutting side. A notch is cut at the base of the blade.
The handle is dark gray, with deep finger grooves and cross ribbing. It widens toward the butt, and there is a small hole in the heel. The whole knife is dark, and only the edge lightens.
How the plain ★ Kukri Knife differs from a skinned one
On a skinned kukri the color of the blade changes entirely, while the unpainted one stays dark. Several things follow from that:
- there is no wear, so the listing carries neither a wear name nor a float;
- there are no patterns or phases, and copies do not differ from each other;
- a name tag is available, and a name applied to the knife stays with it;
- stickers cannot be attached to knives.
The only choice left is between the regular version and the one with a counter.
What the ★ Kukri Knife costs
By its starting “from” price, the unpainted knife sits above the middle of the Kukri Knife row: nine skins are cheaper and three are pricier. Below it are Kukri Knife | Crimson Web (a seventh cheaper), Kukri Knife | Blue Steel (a sixth cheaper) and Kukri Knife | Stained (a third cheaper).
Above it are Kukri Knife | Case Hardened (a few percent pricier) and Kukri Knife | Slaughter (about two fifths pricier). Kukri Knife | Fade is the most expensive finish on the model, at twice the price of the plain knife.
Is there a StatTrak version
Yes. StatTrak™ Kukri Knife is sold as a separate item, and the counter stays with the knife. The version with a counter costs about a seventh more than the regular one.
Getting the ★ Kukri Knife
The Kukri Knife drops as a rare special item from two cases, the Kilowatt Case and the Gallery Case. The bare steel sits there among the other rare special items, so opening a case hands it over by chance.
Five Covert skins put into a trade-up contract can also return this knife, but the game picks the model and the finish. A ready plain knife can also be bought on LIS-SKINS.
Who it suits
The plain ★ Kukri Knife suits you if:
- you want a dark knife without artwork that goes with any loadout;
- you like the kukri shape, and the prices of its skins climb toward Fade, which costs twice as much;
- you need a listing with no float and no phases.
