★ Paracord Knife | Case Hardened (Battle-Scarred)

The ★ Paracord Knife | Case Hardened in Battle-Scarred (BS) is a blade of colorful case-hardened steel with a handle wrapped in cord. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. In CS2 this paracord knife drops from the Shattered Web Case and the Fracture Case. The finish's float scale runs from 0.00 to 1.00 and holds five wears, and Battle-Scarred takes more than half of it, from 0.45 to 1.00.

What the ★ Paracord Knife | Case Hardened looks like in Battle-Scarred

The blade is straight, with a cut-off tip and a long slot. Heat-tint spots have spread across the steel in blue, purple and gold. The handle is wrapped tightly in gray-beige cord. Valve describes the finish as color case hardening, done with charcoal at high temperature.

Battle-Scarred is the most worn of the five wears, and the marks on the blade are obvious at first glance. A knife's wear is set at the drop and does not grow.

What to check before buying

These points matter when you pick a ★ Paracord Knife | Case Hardened:

• float: choose inside 0.45 to 1.00, because the difference between the top and the bottom of that band is easy to see;

• name tag: the paracord knife takes one, but it has no sticker slots;

• wear in the listing title: Field-Tested (FT) and Well-Worn (WW) cost almost the same, while Factory New (FN) costs noticeably more.

What the ★ Paracord Knife | Case Hardened costs in Battle-Scarred

Factory New costs more than two and a half times as much, and Minimal Wear (MW) a quarter more. Field-Tested and Well-Worn differ from Battle-Scarred by less than three percent.

Among Covert paracord knives in this wear, the finish sits at the top of the row. Below it come Crimson Web and Blue Steel, and lower still Urban Masked. The cheapest are Safari Mesh, Forest DDPAT and Scorched.

Getting the ★ Paracord Knife | Case Hardened

The Case Hardened paracord knife drops from the Shattered Web Case and the Fracture Case, and the wear comes out random. The other route is a trade-up contract: five Covert skins from one collection produce a rare special item, but its model and finish cannot be picked in advance.
