★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Web (Field-Tested)

The ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Web in Field-Tested (FT) are a red-and-gray tactical pair with hard pads over the knuckles and fingers. Extraordinary rank, with the star. The finish sits in the Clutch Case and the Revolution Case. Its wear scale begins at 0.06, which confines Factory New to a narrow strip.

What the ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Web look like in Field-Tested

A dark-red panel with a fine web mesh covers the back of the hand. Bright red bars cross it, and one of them has lettering embossed in Latin script. Hard black-and-gray pads with a metallic sheen sit on the knuckles and fingers. The palm is gray-black, while the cuff and the fingertips are red. Valve calls the pair red-and-gray, with a rubberized web print.

Wear reads differently here than on fabric pairs: the paint comes off the red bars and along the edges of the hard pads. The ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Web get a float of 0.15 to 0.38 in this wear. A pair's state is logged when it drops and does not change later.

What to check before buying

What separates one ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Web listing from another:

• between 0.15 and 0.38 the scuffing builds up noticeably;

• the red bars on the back of the hand, where the condition of the paint is visible in the listing's screenshot;

• the wear in the listing name: Factory New costs nine and a half times as much, and Minimal Wear a little over twice.

What the ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Web cost in Field-Tested

Crimson Web is sixth from the bottom among the nineteen Specialist Gloves finishes priced in this wear: five are cheaper and thirteen dearer. Tiger Strike costs a sixth more, Marble Fade a tenth. Field Agent is less than a tenth cheaper, Lt. Commander almost a third, and Buckshot a third of the price. Crimson Kimono, thirteen times dearer, and Emerald Web, ten times, hold the top of the lineup.

Between the wears, the pattern runs like this:

• Factory New costs nine and a half times as much;

• Minimal Wear costs a little more than twice as much;

• Well-Worn is cheaper by a few percent;

• Battle-Scarred is cheaper by almost a quarter.

Getting the ★ Specialist Gloves | Crimson Web

There are two cases, the Clutch Case and the Revolution Case, and in both the pair is a rare special item. Valve added the Clutch Case gloves to the Revolution Case on February 10, 2023. A trade-up contract of five Covert skins from one collection returns a rare special item, but its model and finish are random. The wear is random as well when a case is opened.
