The ★ Stiletto Knife without a skin is the Stiletto in CS2 with no paint on it, and the listing description says the knife is not painted. The knife sits at Covert rank, with the ★ mark. The community calls the model simply "the Stiletto", and Not Painted there means exactly this kind of knife. The item has no wear, float or pattern, and every copy is identical.
What the ★ Stiletto Knife looks like
The Stiletto has a very long, narrow blade that tapers to a needle point. The steel is bare, and slanting marks from factory grinding show on the blade.
The handle is elongated and reddish brown, with a dark texture, several rivets and steel plates at the ends. The knife gets its color from the steel itself and the handle material.
How the plain ★ Stiletto Knife differs from a skinned one
On a knife with a skin, the buyer chooses wear, float and sometimes a phase. With the unpainted Stiletto there is nothing to choose:
- no wear, so the listing states no float range;
- there is no pattern, so copies differ neither in design nor in shade;
- a name tag can be added, but knives have no sticker slots.
What remains is a choice between the regular Stiletto and the StatTrak version, with its counter.
What the ★ Stiletto Knife costs
By starting price, the ★ Stiletto Knife sits above ten skins of the model and below fourteen. Just beneath it stand Damascus Steel (1.05 times cheaper), Stained (1.15 times) and Ultraviolet (1.21 times).
Above it come Blue Steel (6 percent more), Case Hardened (10 percent) and Crimson Web (12 percent). At the top of the row are the Doppler gems: Sapphire costs 5.7 times as much, Black Pearl 9.4 times and Ruby 9.6 times.
Is there a StatTrak version
Yes: the ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife is a separate listing. The counter there is not reset and passes to the buyer as it stands. The premium over the regular Stiletto is about 5 percent.
Getting the ★ Stiletto Knife
The Stiletto in CS2 drops from the Prisma and Prisma 2 cases, as well as the Horizon and Danger Zone cases. The unpainted knife sits in the same rare special item pool as the skins, so which one you get is random.
The other route is a contract: five Covert skins from one collection turn into a single rare special item. You cannot order a specific model from it.
Who it suits
The ★ Stiletto Knife without a skin is worth buying when:
- you want a knife with no artwork that fits into any loadout;
- you would rather not deal with floats and phases;
- you like the narrow blade and don't want to pay nine times more for the Doppler gems.
