Inscribed Arms of Desolation

What the Item Is

Arms of Desolation is an Immortal for Shadow Fiend's arms, replacing his hands and forearms. The Inscribed version adds statistics counters to it.

How It Works With the Arcana

Slot: arms. Rarity: Immortal — the tier below an arcana in Dota 2, changing one slot rather than the whole model.

Immortals have shipped in volume over the years, which is why they cost so much less than arcanas, of which barely two dozen exist.

Arms work better on Shadow Fiend than you might expect. He casts constantly, and the arm animation lands in frame on every triple raze.

Why the Inscribed Prefix

Demon Eater, his arcana, replaces the base model entirely. Immortal slots keep working on top of it.

So arms and arcana are worn together — that is the normal build. Without the arcana, Arms of Desolation still read clearly: they are dark against the hero's default body.

What It Costs

It adds counters that accumulate the owner's statistics. Visually the item is identical to the plain version.

The price gap between them is small, so the choice usually comes down to whichever is cheaper at the time.

The counter is tied to its owner and starts from zero, so there is no point buying Inscribed for somebody else's numbers.

Is It Worth Buying

The bottom of the Immortal range, a few dollars. For an item on a popular hero that is cheap — plenty of copies circulate.

The figure in the card above is live, pulled from offers. On LIS-SKINS it generally sits below the Steam Market.

Where to Buy Arms of Desolation

Yes, if you play Shadow Fiend and are not ready to spend on the arcana yet: the arms deliver a visible share of the effect for a fraction of the price.

And yes if you already own the arcana — the slots do not conflict, and the assembled look is more coherent than an arcana with default hands.

If the hero is an occasional pick, look at sets instead: they cover several slots for comparable money.

Worth noting too that Shadow Fiend has several Immortal slots, and collecting them one at a time is the usual approach — the look does not fall apart halfway.

On LIS-SKINS the item sits on this page: Steam authorisation, payment by card, cryptocurrency or e-wallet.

It arrives in your Steam inventory, and reselling with withdrawal to a card or wallet works from the same screen.

The hero's other Immortal slots are beside it in the catalogue — building a look from those costs less than one arcana.

Comparing a couple of offers is still worth the minute: even at this price level sellers differ, and the Inscribed and plain versions sit together in the same list.
