What the Item Changes

Scythes of Sorrow is an Immortal weapon for Terrorblade that changes his blades and adds a custom attack animation while Metamorphosis is up. It costs under $1, which makes it the cheapest thing you can put on the hero at all.

Why the Metamorphosis Animation Matters

Terrorblade's weapon slot is the pair of blades in his hands, and Scythes of Sorrow replaces their model while leaving the rest of his gear alone.

What separates it from ordinary Immortal weapons is the separate attack animation that kicks in during Metamorphosis — the moment the hero turns into his demon form and starts attacking from range.

Damage, range and the duration of the transformation are untouched. Cosmetics never reach the numbers in this game.

The rarity is Immortal. Pieces at that step arrived through battle pass treasures rather than everyday drops, which says nothing about price: those releases were large.

Immortal Against Arcana on This Hero

Metamorphosis is the hero's defining mechanic: inside it Terrorblade stops being a melee unit and starts shooting. It goes up exactly when a fight starts.

That means the custom animation plays during the most watched seconds of a match rather than during a quiet farming pattern.

Community opinion on it is split: some find the projectile too small for a demon form, others like it. Watching a preview first costs nothing, and neither does the item.

What It Costs

Terrorblade has an arcana, Fractal Horns of Inner Abysm, which replaces his base model and costs a two-figure sum. Dota 2 has only a little over two dozen arcanas, and he holds one of them.

This piece works at the opposite end: one slot, one detail, no premium attached.

They do not interfere with each other. Slots are independent, so the weapon sits over the arcana or over any set.

That said, the arcana brings an attack animation of its own, which can override what the weapon contributes. If you already own it, check the hero in the armoury before adding anything.

Terrorblade is also a narrow pick: not everyone plays him, but the people who do play him a lot. For them a cheap weapon is the obvious first purchase.

Who It Suits

Under a dollar, which is literally the floor of the catalogue. Prices like that look impossible for the top rarity step until you know how these items were released.

The explanation is production volume: Immortals were made in bulk, and the ones that never became collector pieces settled at the bottom.

Whatever it is today, the card above has it. Comparing sellers at this level serves no purpose — the difference between them is invisible.

Where to Buy Scythes of Sorrow

Anyone just starting to collect cosmetics who wants to see how the whole thing works. There is no cheaper experiment.

Anyone who plays Terrorblade and is not ready to commit to the arcana: the weapon is in frame in every fight.

Items like this also work as gifts — the sum obliges nobody, and the piece is real and goes straight into the recipient's inventory.

The purchase runs from this LIS-SKINS page: sign in through Steam, choose an offer and pay by card, cryptocurrency or e-wallet.

The blades arrive in your Steam inventory, and the game's armoury takes them from there.

At this kind of money it makes more sense to pick up several pieces for the hero at once — the effort of checking out is the same for one item as for five.
