The former MIBR coach revealed that he did not use the coaching bug to gain an advantage

Ricardo "dead" Sinigaglia spoke out about accusations of using a coaching bug. He admitted that although he did use it, it did not convey information to the players and thus his team did not gain an advantage. The player wrote a post about this on Twitter, noting that he accepts the punishment imposed on him.

Ricardo received a six-month ban for using this cheat during ESL One: Road to Rio – North America. In his post, dead explained the position of the ESIC (Esports Fair Play Commission): in their opinion, “if you had a chance to quit the game and did not, you have put yourself in a position that violates the principles of fair play.” The player agreed that ESIC acted correctly in making the decision to ban. Dead mentioned that on several other similar occasions he disconnected from the game and thus did not gain an unfair advantage.

Ricardo also thanked fans for their support and apologized to those whom he disappointed. He emphasized that he understands that he has no way to prove that he did not try to use a bug to benefit his team. However, his conscience is clear, since he did not harm either his teammates or the esports organization,  nor the game as a whole. On September 13, MIBR ceased cooperation with dead, and it is not yet known how he plans to continue his career after the ban expires.
