CSPAA and ESL have reached an agreement to change the tournament regulations. The main objective of these adjustments was to improve the conditions for players, especially in circumstances where almost all matches are played online. The changes will affect the schedule of competitions that ESL and DreamHack will be holding in the near future. A group that included representatives of the professional association of CS:GO players and both tournament organizers worked on them.
In particular, the start time of the match will now be selected so that it ends before midnight local time. Teams that qualify for the semi-finals and finals will receive a minimum of three days rest between their first game of the tournament and the rest. In addition, additional measures will be taken to avoid technical delays during LAN competitions.
Representatives of the CSPAA highly appreciated the results of the cooperation: “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to discuss problems related to the tournament schedule with ESL and DreamHack. Our joint work has turned out to be very fruitful, and largely because we are pursuing the same goal – make the schedule of CS:GO tournaments more balanced and convenient for all parties."
