Case Hardened – a type of skin that was added to the game back in the ArmsDeal update, so these skins are among the oldest in the game. This pattern is available for all knives, AK-47 and FiveSeven. The skin is unique in its variability: the pattern index affects how the texture will be located on the surface of the weapon, and this can radically affect the cost of the item.
Skin name – Case Hardened – actually has to do with its design. It calls a certain method of metal processing, surface hardening, which should protect the weapon body from damage. As a result of chemical treatment, a thin film is created on the surface, protecting the metal from scratches. However, the color of this film may vary – it is this effect that is reproduced in the design Case Hardened.
The most expensive skins of this type are – Blue Gem. They have the surface of the weapon uniformly painted in various shades of blue. The second rarest pattern – gold, or Gold Gem. According to many players, it does not look as remarkable as Blue Gem, and besides, it is almost impossible to get a completely gold AK-47 or knife. But these options do not exhaust the variety. For example, the AK-47 has the most patterns, which can fetch a higher price. For example, with a pattern index of 661, 321, or 670, most of the case remains blue, but a small vertical stripe appears on the receiver. This option is called a “scar”. In several patterns, only part of the body is blue, for example, indexes 151 and 856 will give a blue barrel. AK-47 Case Hardened with a 50/50 coloring, in which the color ratio is approximately the same, are also popular.
Another remarkable drawing – Blaze, also known like Rainbsp;or Galaxy. In this case, all three primary colors can be seen on the surface, smoothly transitioning into one another and forming spots of irregular shape. The price for this type of pattern varies quite a lot and is often the result of an agreement with a specific buyer, so the assessment here depends on personal preference.
Before you buy or sell the Case Hardened skin, be sure to check the pattern index. Sometimes the livery versions may look similar, but the price difference is quite significant. But even if you didn’t get a skin with a remarkable pattern index, any item from this series will become a real decoration of your inventory.
