
ESIC, an organization dedicated to the fight for fair play in esports, said it is currently investigating match fixing in the ESEA Mountain Dew League. According to a report that was published recently, the suspicions in question arose in connection with various matches over the past 18 months.
Lately, rumors about possible violations in the ESEA MDL have repeatedly appeared on social networks. Players publicly pointed out teams and individual members who were suspected of match-fixing. ESIC mentioned that there are currently 15 separate investigations underway, the results of which could be significant for the industry.
ESIC representatives say that a more detailed statement will be published in the coming month, which will provide specific information. So far, the organization describes the progress of the investigation as follows: “We have conducted a detailed and exhaustive investigation into alleged match-fixing over the past 18 months. We used various methods to establish a connection between those who made suspicious and unusual bets and the participating teams."
