ESL has announced plans to create a new competition cycle for women's CS:GO teams. The total prize fund for the events, which will take place throughout 2022, will be $500,000. This will include two online leagues with LAN finals, several online cups with prizes, and a separate tournament at DreamHack Valencia. All of these competitions will be closely associated with the #GGFORALL initiative, as well as activities aimed at combating toxicity in the gaming community.
The main part of the competition program will be two regional leagues – European and North American. Each of them will be able to select eight teams that will compete for a prize fund of $75,000 in each season. The top three teams from each league will automatically advance to the offline finals, which will be held during DreamHack Dallas and DreamHack Winter. These six participants will be joined by two more teams, which will be determined based on the results of selection in the Asian and South American regions.
In addition, as part of the DreamHack festivals, separate competitions with a total prize fund of $100,000 will be held. Teams will be selected as a result of qualifying tournaments or invited directly. The first such event will take place at DreamHack Valencia from July 1 to 3. In addition, there will be smaller online competitions each month with a $4,000 prize pool across four regions each month.
