The Russian Computer Sports Federation issued a new statement regarding claims against the organization of the EPIC League CIS tournament. Despite the fact that a week has passed since the end of the competition, this topic is still a subject of heated discussion in the professional community. Many note that many organizational problems arose during the tournament, and charges of cheating were brought against the Ukrainian team Akuma, which ultimately took third place. There are even proposals to replay all or part of the matches, or simply not to take into account the results of this tournament when qualifying for a major.
Representatives of the HLTV portal contacted the Computer Sports Federation with a request to comment on an open letter published by fifteen teams from the CIS, calling for a more thorough investigation into accusations of cheating. Representatives of the FCC responded that there were indeed problems in organizing the tournament, but no official complaints about the conduct of the matches were recorded, and the teams preferred to immediately attract the attention of the media instead of resolving the issues that arose with the organizers. The FCC believes that the current situation will not affect the CIS esports scene and will not become an obstacle to competitions in the future.
