FLASHPOINT accuses CSPAA of defaulting on its obligations

The organizers of the FLASHPOINT tournament, held in April 2020, refuse to pay a large sum to the Counter Strike Professional Players Association (CSPPA) in violation of previously reached agreements. This was reported by DBLTAP.

In March 2020, an agreement was concluded between B-site (organizers of the FLASHPOINT League) and CSPAA, according to which B-site had to pay $165,000 in response to which CSPAA provided assistance in the participation of its players in the tournament  and provided intellectual property rights.

However, correspondence between the parties was recently published, from which it becomes clear that FLASHPOINT accuses the Players Association of failing to fulfill its previously assumed obligations. In particular, according to them, she did not participate effectively enough in organizing the tournament, which resulted in lost profits. For example, CSPAA refused to sign documents required to obtain test monitors from one of its sponsors, which ultimately led to the failure of agreements with that sponsor. Also, the Players Association was supposed to participate in the development of a system of rules and rankings for the tournament, but this was also not done.

In turn, CSPAA claims that it has fulfilled its obligations under the contract, and B-site is simply delaying payment. It is unclear how this conflict will affect the future prospects of the tournament.
