Swedish esports organization fnatic announced the expulsion of Jack “Jackinho” Strøm Mattsson from the active roster after the team failed to qualify for the major. The player has been in the starting lineup for 10 months after being brought in as a replacement for Robin "flusha" at the start of the year. Rönquist.
From the very beginning, Jackinho's participation in fnatic matches did not always go well. He joined the team when it was going through a difficult period, and he was not able to immediately shine. The player did not immediately receive the role of sniper, as the rest of the participants needed time to adapt to the changes. Somewhat later, he nevertheless took this position, but in the end he was never able to achieve sustainable results.
Even though the team took second place at cs_summit 7 shortly after joining fnatic, Jackinho's subsequent results were less impressive. At the play-in IEM Katowice, and then at ESL Pro League Season 13, he showed a rating below 0.90. Subsequently, he managed to improve his performance somewhat, and he remained in the team after a new roster was formed with the participation of British players.
However, after fnatic failed to qualify for the major without winning a single match at IEM Fall, the team management again decided to adjust the roster – this time by taking on a new sniper. This position will be temporarily filled by Owen "smooya" Butterfield, and fnatic will be looking for a permanent player to replace Jackinho.
