Former Heroic coach Nikolay "HUNDEN" Petersen, who was disqualified for two years for violating the principles of fair play, gave an interview to the Danish portal TV2.dk a few days ago. In it, the eSports player mentioned that other Heroic players with whom he worked at the beginning of 2020 were aware of his use of the “coach bug.” At the same time, he refused to name specific names, noting that whether to admit it or not – it's up to the players themselves.
Heroic CEO Joachim Haraldsen called these statements by HUNDEN false. Previously, when ESIC was investigating cases of use of the "coach bug", Petersen signed a statement according to which, using this cheat, he "acted alone, without the knowledge of other team members." Therefore, Haraldsen now believes that HUNDEN is trying to remove some of the blame from itself by shifting it to other members.
At the same time, the TV2.dk portal claims that it has documents at its disposal that can serve as confirmation of HUNDEN’s words. Danish e-sportsman Jacob “Pimp” shares the same opinion. Winneche: in his tweet he mentioned that he had seen the materials on which the article was based and believes that HUNDEN may well be telling the truth. According to the publication TV2.dk, players openly discussed whether to take advantage of the “coach bug”.
When asked why he only spoke about this now, when he previously claimed that he acted without the knowledge of the players, HUNDEN replied that now he sees no point in hiding anything.
