IGC to sue 9z over meyern transfer fee

Immortals Gaming Club, which includes the MIBR team, filed a lawsuit against 9z. According to the information portal Dexerto, the IGC accuses the Argentine organization of not transferring the agreed amount for the transfer of Ignacio “meyern” Meyer.

Documents show that the parties initially agreed that meyern's transition to 9z would cost the latter $35,000. Immortals Gaming Club claims that it never received this amount, despite the fact that 9z representatives repeatedly stated that the payment would be made soon.

The nineteen-year-old eSports player, whose transfer caused a conflict, played for 9z from June to December 2020, joining the team after six months as part of MIBR. At the end of 2020, he was transferred to inactivity and began searching for other options. Meyern recently joined Furious on loan. His collaboration with this team should last until December 31, 2021.

IGC has reportedly tried to resolve the issue multiple times without going to court, but 9z has continually delayed responding to queries and avoided discussing payment. IGC management emphasizes that the goal of the lawsuit is now — not only get the amount due, but also punish 9z for unprofessional behavior. If the court takes the side of the ICG, their opponents may face sanctions from the ESIC – organization that monitors compliance with the rules of fair play in eSports.
