Several eSports teams, including Virtus.Pro, Hellraisers and forZe eSports, issued a statement accusing Winstrike of unprofessionalism and fraudulent actions. Representatives of the teams claim that the holding has repeatedly delayed payments under contracts concluded with them.
For example, at the beginning of 2020, Winstrike agreed with forZe eSports to purchase one of the squads. A contract was signed, according to which Winstrike had to pay for the transfer at the end of February. However, after this period had expired, the company first offered to reduce the amount of the transaction, and then stopped making contact altogether. forZe is currently planning to go to court. Other teams that entered into deals with Winstrike to sell rosters or individual players faced similar problems.
The company's CEO has already commented on this statement. He believes that the amounts of payments under contracts and their timing are confidential and should not become the subject of public discussion. The teams that signed the statement, in turn, claim that they did not want to bring the issue up for general discussion and were forced to do so only because of Winstrike’s constant delays. They hope that now the publicity of the situation and the influence of the esports community will help solve the problem.
