Chinese teams plan to be among the first to return to the usual format of LAN matches, which had to be abandoned in recent months due to the coronavirus pandemic. Although Chinese authorities have banned major sporting events until the end of 2020 until the end of the year, this does not appear to apply to smaller domestic competitions. The CS:GO_ProHouse Wuxi Villa Cup is due to take place in early August, and it has already been announced that the tournament will be held in LAN format.
The tournament will be organized by Vision Esports. 6 teams will take part in it, consisting exclusively of e-sportsmen from mainland China. The invited teams included TYLOO, Let's Quit and Invictus. Three more places will be up for grabs in qualifying matches. The open qualification will take place on July 21-22, and the closed part of the selection – July 23-30. The final matches are scheduled for August 4-9. Teams that reach the final stage of the tournament will compete for about $29,000 in prize money, of which $17,200 will go to the team that takes first place.
Starting in March, HLTV broadcast only two LAN games – Doritos Open in Stockholm and 1XeSport Challenge in Bangkok.
