Danish eSports player Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjaerbier is leaving Endpoint after just over four months with the team. According to the organization, this decision was made “by mutual agreement.” In a statement issued on this occasion, a team representative comments that Kjærbier is currently “going through difficult events in his personal life that require his attention,” and, due to this, cannot demonstrate the level required for a professional player.
Kjerbier moved to Endpoint in the summer of 2022, two years after deciding to resume his career. In the team, he took the place of the Jordanian e-sportsman Mohammad “BOROS” Malkhasa. Kaerbye previously stated that he plans to end his professional career because he “no longer feels the sense of purpose needed to perform at the highest level.” However, in 2022, his circumstances seem to have changed as he decided to return to the game again.
Thus, Endpoint became his first performance on the professional stage after a rather long break (before that he performed for HYENAS in mid-2021). For Endpoint, his participation ultimately turned out to be fruitful: the team not only stopped losing positions in the world rankings, but also rose to 24th place. However, she failed to advance further, and now she is in the fourth ten.
