The Brazilian team O PLANO, which has been left without an esports organization for more than six months, now has a chance to secure support for itself. The information portal Rush B Media reports that the team is in negotiations with the Norwegian Nordawind. This news appeared just a few hours after the latter announced that it was putting its entire current roster up for transfer. Nordawind representatives mentioned that this decision was due, rather, to a change in the team’s development strategy and its future goals, rather than to specific unsuccessful performances.
If the Brazilians' negotiations with Nordawind are successful, the team will find a new home for the first time since the beginning of 2021, when its core team left MIBR and assembled a new roster around Henrique "HEN1" Teles, who used to play for FURIA. The team failed to find a permanent sponsor in the following months, and from the beginning of summer they began performing under the O PLANO tag as an independent team. This became possible when two players were released from their obligations to MIBR, with whom they were previously under contract.
O PLANO are now ranked 35th in the world rankings after finishing cs_summit 8 with fourth place, and also taking second place at DreamHack Open June North America.
