Valorant developer offered Valve's help in solving the cheating problem

A former Riot Games developer, who previously participated in the creation of an anti-cheat for Valorant, offered his help in solving the problem with cheaters in CS: GO.

Valve developer John MacDonald recently posted a tweet in which he mentioned that most major multiplayer games suffer from cheater attacks, but the CS:GO team is constantly working to solve this problem. He noted that the fight against cheating will still require a lot of time and resources, but it is inevitable for any sufficiently massive game.

In response to this post, former anti-cheat developer at Riot Games Nemanja Mulasmagic wrote that he was ready to help Valve solve the problem with cheaters. “I am sure that my company can provide you with great assistance in the fight against cheaters in CSGO.” – he said on Twitter and invited MacDonald to send him a private message to discuss the details.

It's unclear whether any practical cooperation will follow, but Counter Strike fans around the world have been dealing with an increasing number of cheaters lately and are hoping that Valve can fix the problems with its anti-cheat system as quickly as possible. Although the quality of anti-cheat work is difficult to evaluate objectively, there is a widespread belief among players that in Valorant the risk of encountering dishonest opponents is much lower.
