Tarot cards – a set of symbolic images that have inspired artists and designers for ages. It's no surprise that they've also found their place among the designs adorning skins for CS2. If you love skins with mystical themes or just want to add some guns with colorful and detailed designs to your inventory, the "Tarot" series skins are a great opportunity to do so.
The first skin from this series appeared in the game in 2017, created by Thiago Lehmann and Luiza McAllister from the Brazilian studio 2Minds Studio. AK-47 Empress gained great popularity among players, and soon several more followed. To date, there are five skins in the game named after Tarot cards and reflecting their symbolism.
AK-47 The Empress
The design of the AK-47 Empress was inspired by the Tarot card "The Empress." Its color scheme is dominated by red, gold, and black, with a central figure of a golden empress in a crown. The magazine and the front part of the body are decorated with bright geometric ornaments and mysterious symbols. It should be noted that as the float increases, the skin darkens, but the pattern remains well discernible, so you have an opportunity to save additionally when buying.
M4A4 The Emperor
In 2019, "The Emperor" – M4A4 The Emperor was added to pair with "The Empress." If the previous skin looked red and gold, here the two main colors are gold and blue with small inserts of red and white. The body of the gun depicts an emperor in a crown surrounded by radiating sun rays. Other elements of the weapon feature symbols and geometric patterns. Note that on this skin, unlike the previous one, wear increases visibility of scratches, especially affecting the magazine's pattern. Thus, it might be worth spending more on a higher quality version.
AWP Mortis
AWP Mortis is one of the most famous Tarot card skins in CS2. Its design was inspired by the arcana "Death" – definitely a fitting choice for a sniper rifle. The skin is primarily painted in black and various shades of red and yellow. On the stock, you can see the figure of a grim reaper, and in the central part of the body – a sinister-looking skeleton. If you're looking for an affordable AWP skin – this is one of the best offers, considering that its appearance changes insignificantly with wear.
MAG-7 Justice
Perhaps, the MAG-7 Justice can be called the most vivid of the Tarot-themed skins. Gold, bright blue, and black combine into a bright pattern inspired by the arcana "Justice." The body features scales held by a formidable angel armed with a sword. Most likely, all these symbols suggest that all enemies will get their due.
USP-S The Traitor
The inspiration for USP-S The Traitor came from the Tarot card "The Hanged Man." On a bright background, the figure of a man hanging upside down on a tree entwined with a snake is depicted. Usually, this card signifies an unpredictable or unpleasant situation, the exit from which will require decisive actions or an unconventional approach. A suitable image for pistol rounds! Fortunately, this skin looks good with any float values.
When the next Tarot-style skins will appear in the game is still unclear, but players hope to see new additions soon, as the 2Minds workshop has other interesting designs left, such as Desert Eagle Judgement and MAC-10 The Start. It should be added that 2Minds Studio is not limited to Tarot skins. They own several successful designs, including Glock-18 Bullet Queen, which is quite popular among players. All these skins, as well as many other in-game items, you can purchase on LIS-SKINS at very favorable prices.
