Valve has released an update to CS: GO, which introduced several noticeable changes. One of them was a change in the characteristics of the M4A1-S rifle, which has remained the subject of debate in the community since September last year. Due to the increased damage combined with a lower price than the M4A4, some players considered the weapon to be overly powerful. Now, in response to this opinion, Valve has reduced the magazine capacity and the number of spare cartridges for this rifle.
In addition, the patch introduced several changes to the Ancient map, affecting mainly the area around the “cave” and both bomb sites. Improvements have been made to both the visual aspects of the map, such as lighting, and gameplay.
In addition, the explosion damage on Inferno has been increased. Several minor updates appeared on Vertigo, Cache and Vineyard. In particular, an exploit pointed out by one of the players was fixed on Cache, stability and performance were improved on Vineyard, and physics problems were fixed.
The BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 tournament was completed using the previous version of the game, while subsequent events will be held taking into account this patch.
