Welcome to Lis-Skins.com. Today we will discuss the top heroes of Dota 2, based on the most popular characters who are most often chosen for the rink. At the same time, we will touch on the complexity of the fighters, the percentage of victories and the characteristics of mastery of each of them.
We used a lot of graphs, statistical data and objective information as a basis. Seasoned a little with our own experience and general understanding of the situation. And let's be honest: for some reason everyone wants to play these heroes, although most of the top representatives are far from the easiest to master, especially for beginners. But has this ever stopped gamers from playing mid?
Pudge
The top popular heroes of Dota 2 are headed by the same butcher, whom no one knows how to play, but everyone wants to run around the arena and hunt the enemy with a hook. This has already become a classic, but had a deplorable effect on the win rate — 50.65%. Not Rubik with his 44.9%, but still not enough pleasant.
Typical strength hero: thick in HP, melee, low speed. Due to this, pushing mid is problematic for him, so it is better to leave him as a support for some fat DD. But the majority, unfortunately, do not know about this.
Lion
Next in the top of the best heroes of Dota 2 is this guy. Another support, but this time on the agility line. And he runs quite vigorously if he needs to help someone in battle. True, it’s not easy to play on it, as evidenced by the deplorable win rate of 47.9%. We are used to grabbing a Persian just because of his big name.
In competent hands this is almost imbued. Lion will do a good area of effect stun, and will debuff those who are especially persistent with Hex for a few seconds so that the others can take out the enemy. Or he knocks as best he can. But the mana zhor — This is totally cheating. Especially in the later stages of the game.
Sniper
Switching to the top heroes for Dota 2 beginners. What is good about this comrade with a gun at the ready? At a minimum, a win rate of 51.5%, which indicates ease of learning. If even outright noobs are able to cope with a sniper, then more experienced ones will definitely not have any problems.
The hero relies on agility and stands well in the center, because he casts skills from a long distance and can quickly escape in case of fire. At the same time, it throws Shrapnel at everyone to slow them down. If you upgrade Take Aim, the damage radius will increase even more. Actually, this is why they don’t like Sniper — they can't get there. Just don't forget to put a couple of things on it for survivability, otherwise it's a piece of cardboard.
Slark
Let's switch to the top solo heroes in Dota 2. And here is the well-known lizard with a win rate of 52.35, which indicates the high level of the hero as the main pusher for mid. Slark has everything to be considered a cool carry: damage, speed and survivability. And it’s problematic to debuff him if Dark Pack buffs himself.
Obstacles are not scary for a lizard either — Pounce eliminates them. Since the hero works from agility, Shift allows you to accelerate the damage even higher by stealing attributes from the enemy. In a protracted battle, Slark turns into an uber-machine, from which it is better to stay away. And remember that he can periodically go into invisibility, and such things are terribly infuriating.
Ogre Magi
The two-headed giant also deservedly made it into our top 10 Dota 2 heroes due to his thick armor and large health bar. This is a universal support and tank in one person, which greatly simplifies the task of the carry when it comes to farming mobs in the early stages of the game. And don’t forget about the main feature — Multicast.
The rest of the skills are also in order: Faeblast will stun in the area, then multicast, and again an AOE attack. You can also set someone on fire with Ignite slow. A competent Ogre will use multicast and bloodblast on CD, speeding up his allies on the lane. With Arcane Boots, the character's usefulness increases many times over. Winrate — 53.12%.
Juggernaut
If we talk about characters who do not require special learning of skills, then the top light heroes of Dota 2 will deservedly be occupied by a carry in a mask and Japanese armor. An extremely versatile damage dealer with excellent speed, which is highly effective both early and late. And the win rate is not bad — 51.21%.
The lion's share of the work is done by Blade Fury's AOE skill, which hits in a circle, and at the same time imposes invulnerability to magic. If you additionally purchase the Town Portal Scroll, it will become even easier. The hero also works well in solo due to his personal Ward, and this additionally saves money on healing. It also hurts to criticize.
Invoker
But the top difficult heroes of Dota 2 would probably be headed by this mage. Just look at the win rate of 48.24 to understand this. And the guy himself is extremely specific in terms of mechanics due to the use of three spheres: blue, yellow and purple. Microcontrol must be perfect, otherwise the skating rink will be ruined — couldn't be easier.
The Invoker is capable of freezing, going into invisibility, lifting the enemy into the air, burning mana, boosting damage and speed, throwing meteorites, and at the same time summoning a spirit. And all due to an understanding of the mechanics of Invoke. But a beginner will clearly not be able to remember all the combinations, as well as control everything on the field.
Silencer
Our selection also includes a character who leads the top win rate of Dota 2 heroes. His indicator — 55.20, and this is considered the top value in the game at the time of publication of the material. Where does this indicator come from? Versatility. Ranged, carry + support, stands on any lane. And you can put things on it for both specialties, and this increases variability and replayability.
Silencer's damage increases throughout the entire rink, while acquiring slowing effects. Arcana removes the enemy's health and reduces speed every time he tries to use a skill. It's infuriating. But what’s much more infuriating is the ult, which prohibits all enemies on the map from using absolutely any skill. For mass batches, this is practically an auto wine.
Windranger
What can you say about this young lady? First of all, she's barefoot. Secondly, it stands out strongly on the map, but these are minor things. Well, the win rate is below average — 49.9%. Then why is she at the top? Because it is easy to learn and very flexible. But they wear it mainly as a support or an assistant in finishing off lone opponents.
The ranger gains attack speed due to Focus Fire. When paired with Javelin, the chance of magical crit increases. Also in her arsenal are nets for slowing down the enemy, a powerful bow shot, hyper-dodge and a fat barrier that pushes the enemy away. It is quite enough for a support.
Shadow Fiend
And I would like to end with a spirit that is among the top strong heroes of Dota 2, and deservedly so. Only the win rate of 48.6% indicates a high entry threshold for playing this character. This is a carry, and a universal one at that. And they fail on it because at the beginning the character is quite weak, but this can be fixed with leveling up Shadowraze.
In the middle and late stages, necromancy comes into play to increase damage and a debuff to reduce armor for everyone around. If you combine this with a fat AoE ult, the damage numbers will be very significant. But many people simply forget to eat souls before this, which negatively affects the damage.
