A recent update to Counter Strike: Global Offensive added a new game launch mode. It was previously tested in beta. The main purpose of the new mode, which was called “Trusted Mode” - this is the fight against cheaters. When activated, it will block attempts of any third-party programs and applications to interact with game files. An exception will be made for drivers that have an Authenticode digital signature. Developers of auxiliary applications for CS: GO must take care of this themselves.
After beta testing ended, this mode was enabled “by default” for all players. If, upon launch, the game detects any files or programs that do not meet the new requirements, the user will see a warning. It will contain details about which file is causing the problem. For those who encounter performance issues or bugs in the new mode, Valve retains the option to run a compatible version of the game. Those who want to continue using third-party software can manually disable Trusted Mode. However, in this case, they will be denied access to protected VAC servers, and their Trust Score will decrease.
