On July 13, Valve released a small update that should fix performance issues observed when “Trusted Mode” is enabled. This game launch mode was added in a previous update released a few days ago. Its main purpose – limit the ability of third-party applications to interact with CS:GO to make life even more difficult for cheaters.
However, immediately after the update was released, posts complaining about a drop in performance began to appear on Reddit and Twitter. Some noted a fairly noticeable drop in FPS. Soon a post appeared on the developers' blog stating that the problem had been noticed and would be fixed. The post claims that the problem was caused by the game's interaction with third-party programs that repeatedly tried to interfere with CS:GO's own files. It's likely that issues in these apps have also been fixed.
However, the introduction of a new way to combat cheaters could mean bad news for streamers too. There is a high probability that restrictions on the launch of third-party applications that interact with the game will interfere with the operation of the software used during broadcasts. Players hope that such problems, if they arise, will be fixed in future updates.
