The most valuable Glock-18 | Moonrise copies are the star patterns: seeds where the small star from the artwork lands on the slide stop lever above the grip. Tier 1, with the star centered on the lever (patterns 58, 59, 66, 90, 102, 224, 601, 628, 694, 706, 837, 864), is the top group, followed by left star, right star and partially covered star. A regular Moonrise costs under a dollar in Field-Tested and about $2 in Factory New, and buyers pay extra on top of that for a star seed. Below you will find every pattern by tier and how to find the one you want.

Despite being the default T side pistol, the Glock has some of the most creative skins in the game thanks to its shape: many artists use the squared slide as a canvas for a vivid upper half. Timeless examples include Glock-18 | Candy Apple, Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden and the Moonrise itself. The Moonrise remains one of the best cheap Glock skins in CS2, and a rare pattern makes it much more interesting to collectors. For more options on this pistol, see our list of the best Glock-18 skins in CS2.

The Glock-18 | Moonrise was added to CS:GO on February 14, 2018, as part of The Clutch Collection and the Clutch Case in the "Welcome to the Clutch" update. It is a Restricted skin available in all five wears, from Factory New to Battle-Scarred (float 0 to 0.65), and in StatTrak. The design shows a night cityscape with a deep purple sky and a full moon. The pattern seed changes where the moon sits, but what drives value is the small star that can line up with the slide stop lever. Our article on what the pattern index affects covers the mechanic in general.

The Glock-18 Moonrise Tier List

Plenty of Moonrise patterns look great with the moon in different spots on the slide, but the only ones considered truly valuable show the small star on the slide stop lever. The star texture wraps around the pistol, and the lever is the only part below the slide where it can appear. That is why Moonrise tiers are built around where the star lands on the lever.

Center Star (Tier 1)

Glock-18 | Moonrise, center star pattern, buy on LIS-SKINS

Patterns: 58, 59, 66, 90, 102, 224, 601, 628, 694, 706, 837, 864

Tier 1 patterns have a clearly visible small star in a central or near-central position on the slide stop lever. These are the most exclusive and expensive Moonrise seeds.

Left Star (Tier 2)

Glock-18 | Moonrise, left star pattern, buy on LIS-SKINS

Patterns: 19, 109, 142, 165, 194, 237, 302, 403, 475, 487, 509, 800, 958

Left star patterns also show the full star, but it sits slightly to the left or near the edge of the lever. They tend to be cheaper than center stars and easier to find on marketplaces.

Right Star (Tier 3)

Glock-18 | Moonrise, right star pattern, buy on LIS-SKINS

Patterns: 31, 38, 95, 121, 281, 355, 385, 484, 617, 630, 667, 737, 913

The same story as the previous tier, except the star is shifted slightly to the right. What separates right stars from Tier 4 is that the star still fits fully within the borders of the lever.

Partially Covered Star (Tier 4)

Glock-18 | Moonrise, partially covered star pattern, buy on LIS-SKINS

Patterns: 137, 268, 448, 744, 769, 986

By far the most affordable category of Moonrise star patterns. Only part of the star is visible on the slide stop lever, because the edge of the part covers or cuts it off.

How to Choose and Find a Moonrise Star Pattern

  • Tier. Center star carries the highest premium, partially covered star the lowest. If you want the star effect on a tighter budget, Tier 2 and Tier 3 are the practical middle ground.

  • Wear. A regular copy costs under a dollar in Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred, about $1 in Minimal Wear and about $2 in Factory New. Wear does not move the star, but heavy wear can make small details of the artwork harder to see, so check a screenshot before buying.

  • StatTrak. StatTrak Glock-18 | Moonrise costs about $6 in Factory New and roughly $1 to $3 in other wears.

  • Checking the seed. The pattern number is listed in the item details; our guide on how to check a skin pattern in CS2 shows where to find it.
