Lately, our users often ask the question: why has the amount on their balance in rubles changed?

Explain: your balance is fixed in USD currency. Displaying your balance in RUB or EUR is only visual. The actual amount of funds in your account remains unchanged. The balance changes only from your interaction with it (purchasing skins, withdrawing funds or replenishing). To understand why the displayed amount changes, we need to dig a little deeper into how the service works.

The cost of skins is also fixed in USD, and it is in this currency that the purchase or sale takes place. Accordingly, if you have rubles selected as the currency on your website, when replenishing your balance you enter the deposit amount in rubles, for example, 10,000 rubles, but then it is converted and will be fixed in dollar equivalent. Recalculation is always carried out at the current exchange rate.

Let's imagine that at the beginning of May you deposited $100 into your account. To do this, at an exchange rate of 71 rubles per dollar, you would need to pay 7,100 rubles. This is the amount you will see if the ruble is selected as the main currency. But by the end of May the dollar exchange rate dropped to 57 rubles. Consequently, the same amount will be displayed as 5700 rubles. But your options for purchasing skins remain the same, since the price of skins in rubles has become lower.

Thus, if you choose a currency other than the dollar to display, changes in the amount in your balance should not scare you: they reflect exchange rate fluctuations and do not affect your actual ability to purchase skins.
