In the same material we are interested in such an interesting indicator as Elo — its own ranking system, which is completely different from the usual CS 2 rank table. FACEIT has its own scale, divided into categories from 1 to 10 inclusive.
What does this mean? Essentially the same as “Kalash”, “stars” and “globals”, only in a different league. To see the number of Elo points on FACEIT, you still need to earn them. To do this, you need to go through the internal calibration stage by playing 3 full-fledged matches. Just standing and looking at the surroundings will not work — you need to grind. Therefore, it is worth preparing a team of adequate teammates, or at least a competent captain who will explain who should go where and what to do.
Starting value of Elo — 1000 points, after which the system can award a completely random number of points from 50 to 300 for one match. It depends on how you show yourself, how useful you are to the team, how many shots you make, etc.
The accrual system itself is calculated from a mass of variables, so it will not be possible to calculate the value in advance — the formula is not disclosed. The balance between teams also affects the accrual:
If a strong team plays with a weak team and wins — they are awarded 25–50 points (on average);
If a strong team loses to a weak one — the winners are awarded an increased number of Elo.
In the future, as soon as the rating settles down and the teams’ performance levels are equal to the average, players will receive about 25 points for each successful match. Premium players can see their statistics at any time. But how can you watch Elo on FACEIT without a subscription? Officially — you can’t, only the final value is visible. How to Calculate Elo
Experienced gamers conducted a series of tests and discovered how to see max Elo on FACEIT. They also developed a table according to which, to overcome the bar from level 1 to 10, you need to work hard in the game:
From level 1 to level 2 = 32 games won in a row;
From level 2 to 3 = 6 games won in a row;
From level 3 to 4 = 6 games won in a row;
From level 4 to 5 = 6 games won in a row;
From level 5 to 6 = 6 games won in a row;
From level 6 to 7 = 6 games won in a row;
From level 7 to 8 = 6 games won in a row;
From level 8 to 9 = 6 games won in a row;
From level 9 to 10 = 6 games won in a row.
Of course, no one will give you such a privilege as pure dominance. There will also be falls, disappointing losses and various technical problems, from which the rating will begin to drop. Therefore, regularly train your skill in random games, ranked matches and on special training grounds.
Remember the most important thing: Elo — it is not a ranking that is entirely influenced by the team. This is a personal test. The system focuses on the individual performance of each player, analyzing dozens of parameters:
Firing accuracy;
Effectiveness;
Ability to throw grenades;
Map knowledge;
Ability to use the terrain;
Jumping mastery;
Understanding the features of each weapon, etc.
You understand that all players at level 10 have such a skill that it’s no joke. Therefore, if they lose, no more than 3–5 points are deducted from them. On the other hand, at such rates this is quite a significant amount. But playing is much more interesting, since there is a real challenge to your own skills.
In Which Hubs to Pump Elo
FACEIT offers two options for the development of events: free and premium. After registration, each player who has played CS 2 for at least 50 hours receives automatic access to a free lobby, level 3 rating and 1000 Elo points to start. This is where the grind begins.
If you want to upgrade to a premium subscription — you need to pay from $2 to $3 depending on the validity period of the account.
The differences between the hubs are quite noticeable for PRO players.
Free:
Ability to enter 5x5 games with gamers of similar skill;
Possibility of playing with 2–4 friends, or a full stack;
The game independently allocates a server without the right to choose;
You can’t kick a player if you don’t like them;
Tickrate is limited to 128.
Premium:
Opportunities similar to a free subscription;
Up to 3 people in a stack with an activated subscription;
Opportunity to kick a teammate for personal reasons;
Increased chance of becoming a captain in the free lobby.
How Much Elo Do I Have
You can check this parameter on the official FACEIT website. Just log into your account and look on the right side, where all the indicators and data for the last matches played will be displayed.
In the case of other players, enter their nickname in the search bar. The system will display all the necessary information in the “Overview” section.
Statistics are kept not only for your country of residence, but also for the region as a whole (America, Europe, etc.).
Please note that in one of the latest updates dated April 2, 2021, FACEIT changed the Elo calculation to eliminate the influence of boosters on gameplay. Now, if a team has a pair of “level tens” and one level 1–2 player, the Elo drop will be significantly reduced.
