So unlike weapons, rarity and float don't work as a differentiator here: tier comes down to price ceiling (the model's priciest finish), entry price (its cheapest finish), and source. Sport Gloves' ceiling, for instance, sits at nearly $27,780 (Hedge Maze), while Hydra Gloves' is just $320 (Case Hardened), even though both models share identical float and rarity — recognition and specific finishes make the difference. Hydra Gloves are the most affordable model in the game, just four finishes, all from the Clutch Case. The base ceiling belongs to Case Hardened, around $320 Factory New, but it's one of the few glove finishes where a specific pattern can carry a massive price premium: rare "blue gem" copies with the most blue coverage sell for many times the base price, with individual pairs going for $2,000 to $5,000 depending on pattern and float. The other three finishes — Emerald, Rattler, and Mangrove — don't carry a comparable collector premium from their pattern. Mangrove is the cheapest glove finish in the game, around $28 for Battle-Scarred.
Getting Gloves
Most gloves on this list can be pulled from the Glove Case, the Clutch Case, the Operation Broken Fang Case, the Snakebite Case, or the Recoil Case — which models and finishes you can get depends on the container (the Broken Fang Gloves lineup and part of the Sport Gloves, Specialist Gloves, Moto Gloves, Driver Gloves, and Hand Wraps finishes repeat across all three of the Operation Broken Fang Case, the Snakebite Case, and the Recoil Case). None of these cases currently sit in the active weekly drop pool: the Glove Case, Clutch Case, Snakebite Case, and Recoil Case are simply old, and the Operation Broken Fang Case is additionally tied to an operation that closed long ago. But a purchased container still opens with a key, so new copies of these finishes keep appearing — just not through a free drop after a match.
The one active source for new gloves through weekly rewards isn't a case at all — it's the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal: the terminal itself can drop for free as a weekly reward, and opening it shows up to five randomly selected offers out of the 22 gloves and 17 weapon skins in The Dead Hand Collection. You can only buy what's actually offered, at the price shown in the terminal — it's not a blind lootbox, but it's not a guaranteed pick of one specific finish either. Ultra Violent, Pillow Punchers, and eight Driver Gloves finishes are among the possible offers.
A separate source is crafting: since October 2025, five regular Covert-rarity skins can be traded up for a random regular knife or pair of gloves from the collections of the skins used. Five StatTrak Covert skins only produce a StatTrak knife — gloves can't be crafted that way, since gloves have no StatTrak version. Aiming for a specific model this way is difficult, so buying on the market is usually the more practical route for a particular finish.
What Determines a Glove Model's Tier

Recognition and model design. Sport Gloves and Specialist Gloves price higher on average than the other lines — general recognition and the sheer variety of finishes play a role.
