Saving console commands

The main problem that gamers who first became acquainted with useful commands on the Dota 2 console run the risk of encountering is ignorance of how to save. Because in reality it is very annoying to enter them again every time.

The game is designed in such a way that it resets all unsaved console commands the next time you launch Dota 2. Therefore, they need to be registered in the configuration.

To do this, create a file in Notepad called autoexec.cfg, copy the necessary Dota 2 console commands into it in the form of a registry according to the principle “One command on one line.”

Next you need to find the Steam folder on your device, usually it is located on drive C or drive D in Program Files. From the Steam folder, follow the following chain …\steamapps\common\dota2beta\dota\cfg. Upload your configuration file with useful Dota 2 console commands here.

How to make Dotera gameplay easier?

A great thing is binds. With their help, you can greatly facilitate the process of communication with teammates and, no less important, speed it up. Little tricks like this will allow you to win more often due to faster interaction within the team. This useful command for Dota 2 is entered via the console as follows:

bind "M" "say_team hello" - this command means that by tapping the M key, you will send the word hello to your teammates. Of course, you can specify any other key or key combination and any phrase, for example, “I need help,” “The enemy is in the mid lane,” etc.

For general chat, the Dota 2 console command is entered via bind like this:

bind "X" "say gg" - by pressing X, the phrase "gg" will appear in the chat.

In general, use it and enjoy yourself.

What can you do in the lobby?

Cheats are one of the types of commands in the Dota 2 lobby console. The game lobby is the only place where Valve officially allows gamers to cheat and does not punish them with a ban.

Special rooms are created in the lobby where you can play a private match, which is not displayed anywhere, with invited people, or play a single game with bots to test what certain heroes are capable of, as well as study the interaction of objects in various combinations. This is a kind of sandbox. You can read more about the lobby here .

The list of Dota 2 console cheat commands includes:

  • Enabling cheats - sv_cheats 1. Without using this command it is impossible to use cheats.

  • Disable cheat codes - sv_cheats 0.

  • Reset cooldowns, as well as 100% mana + 100% health - dota_hero_refresh.

  • Destroy all wards completely - dota_kill_wards.

  • Create a new item - dota_create_item "item name". Here and further, remember: in the console, the name of the item and so on is written without quotes.

  • Get gold - dota_give_gold "gold number".

  • Give the required left - dota_hero_level "level in numbers".

Using an autoclicker in Dota 2

An autoclick is the repeated performance of the same action while holding down a key or mouse button. Its purpose is to simplify the gameplay, for example, to quickly collect several runes.

The easiest way to enable it is to enter the autoclicker command in the Dota 2 console.

This is done as follows. First you need to choose a convenient key for turning autoclick on/off, for example, “n”. Next, open the console, write bindtoggle n dota_player_auto_repeat_right_mouse, tap on Enter. Of course, this can be done right inside the gameplay without leaving it.

Now, thanks to the use of a useful Dota 2 console command, you can activate autoclick by pressing “n”. Pressing the key again disables the function.

Second option for enabling autoclick:

  • Go to “Settings” and go to advanced settings.

  • Now we look for the checkbox next to “Auto repeat right mouse button clicks” and put a tick in it.
